Crackship Friday -I'm Running Back to You

previously

Sebastian James watched the blond girl weave in and out of the cosmetic isle at Wal-Mart. He kept his distance. Didn't want to interrupt anything. He should have known he would have found Marnie trying on lip gloss. Not that she'd admit just how much lippy she might carry at one time in that shoulder bag of hers.  But then again, she always looked like a girl on the run.

Sebastian smiled to himself. He liked that about her. Or was it because of him that made her that way? He didn't want to dwell on it. He knew it was best to leave her out of the mess he was in. But he couldn't help to come back to her. It was a desire he couldn't ignore. It was just..could he tell her everything?

He knew he should wait outside for her, but couldn't. He needed to see her face. See if there were any damage from before. Sebastian tried not to think of the fire or the past. Yet, he needed her help. Or did he just need a home?

Sebastian edged the corner. Marnie was on the move again. She went to look at electronics. He saw how she gazed over the new phones. The laptops. What was she really doing here?

Just then he saw her with the old woman with the cart. Grocery shopping, after all. He slipped behind Marnie as if this was as good of time as any. Possibly, she wouldn't make a scene here.

"Don't I know you?" He turned on the charm. Sebastian smiled at her grandmother then.

"Sebastian?" Marnie looked over at him, shocked.

"Yes, you remember." He didn't want to talk about it. Perhaps, sound like that guy she saw that one time at the record store after meeting in a chatroom. Just a friend, now wasn't he? Sebastian could make something up. Maybe.

Marnie stared at him as if she'd seen a ghost.

"Aren't you going to introduce me?" His smile was quick. He shook her grandmother's hand. Still Marnie didn't say much. Honestly, Sebastian was a little hurt. Her grandmother was much more generous with her time than Marnie.

"I guess I'll see you around." He walked away as if he could careless too.

"Wait." Marnie told her grandmother that she needed to talk to Sebastian. "I'm sure he can drive me home."

Sebastian couldn't help but let a smile slip. Yes, they had a lot catching up to do.
