wee bit of wednesday with ellie

OK, I was selfish on Saturday. But Lars had the car. I didn't go to the parade. I stayed home and danced around to Beats Antique. Not quite mastered the full bellydance routine. I improvised enough to make my hip bones sore. Now I really know how that lady feels at work who needs a hip replacement. Well, maybe I don't feel that bad, but enough.

Zoe Jakes at her best with the song Dope Crunk!
Later I went to the movies with a friend. Fright Night. I dunno why I wanted to watch it. Possibly, all because of Anton Yelchin. It was pretty good. I loved the Dr. Who guy in it. And the guy who played Evil Ed was really good too.

I love the Shrine song. I wish I could be that good.

Of course, Lars wanted to know what I'd been doing all day. I wasn't sure if telling him about my so-called bellydancing would be an excuse. I hate being put on the spot like that. Like I'm suppose to be digging ditches or something while he's subbing at the post office. I did make dinner which was macncheese with some veggie stir-fry.

Naturally, he wanted to see for himself, later. It was a laugh for the most part. But he liked the music. At least he didn't try, but later there was one song Sweet Demure that has sort of a French flare to it, like you might do a slow tango to it. Perhaps not as romantic as Dances with the Stars, we made up our own slow steps. It was..what can I say..delightful. We were after all..in our room.
